  1. I would clean the bike and take better pics.

  3. After the Epic stage win, we will most probably need that.
  4. Thanks @webs, those I saw. I am seeking for something more for the amateurs.
  5. I’m just asking here so I don't have to start another chat. Are there any MTB races in the Cape Town area on the weekends of 27 March or 3 April? A link to an event will be appreciated. Edit: Actually, any race will do.
  6. I might have a 2024 model available, bought end of 2025 available, Giant Revolt 1, XL frame. No gravel rides, only road rides. DM me if anybody is interested.
  7. Hardtail mtb
  8. I'm willing to be his partner, at my pace.
  9. Something is not right...
  10. AI assisted me with a recipe: Making your own sports drink is a smart move—it’s essentially a "homemade Pedialyte" or oral rehydration solution (ORS). At its core, hydration is about the balance of glucose (sugar) helping your body absorb sodium (salt) and water faster. Here is the precise ratio for a 750ml bottle: Homemade Electrolyte Drink * Water: 750ml (about 3 cups) * Sugar: 1.5 to 2 tablespoons (approx. 20–25g) * Salt: 1/4 teaspoon (approx. 1.5g) How to Prepare * Mix: Add the sugar and salt to your bottle. * Dissolve: Pour in about 100ml of warm water first and shake until the crystals disappear. * Fill: Top it off with the remaining cold water. * Chill: It tastes significantly better when cold! Why this works The sugar isn't just for taste; it triggers the sodium-glucose cotransport mechanism in your small intestine. Essentially, the sugar acts like a "key" that opens the door for the water and salt to enter your bloodstream much faster than plain water would.
  11. Last year was my first K2C, and the amount of litter at the water points was shocking. I got a cup and when I wanted to discard it in a bin, the lady at the water point told me just throw it on the ground. I assume they will be cleaning up their water point?
  12. I have contacted Dragon Sports regarding a warranty claim on the seatpost. Thus far, via email, they are willing to assist. Will see when the actual warranty is logged.
  13. I know the Tigre is heavy. But when I ride, I don't feel the weight. What joy it is to ride a Tigre.
  14. Oh, and I stripped my little flip chip bolt.🫣
  15. I tried different seats and posts. The round seatpost fixed the problem. I put a round seatpost in and the noise went away. As soon as I put the D-Fuse back, the noise was back. I asume it is the D-Fuse post and the wedge thing at the back. I still need to go for a proper ride.
  16. I am going to replace the seatpost with another saddle on. We will see.
  17. We are still at the seatpost. I will be swapping the D-fuse seat post with a round one. It might be the one adaptor behind the seatpost that may be the culprit. It adapts the D shaped post to fit into a round seat tube. When I stand, the noise is gone, sitting is the problem.
  18. The problem came back on my first proper ride.🙈
  19. It seems that the carbon paste did the trick. I'll go for a lekker ride this weekend.
  20. I am kind of bummed that I bought a Giant Revolt and not the Outer Rora. Nothing wrong with the Revolt, but I think I would have liked the Rora more.
  21. Bike is now at the LBS for some carbon paste.
  22. I narrowed the noise down to the seat post/seat. Seated and pedalling, the noise is there. Standing and pedalling, the noise is gone.
  23. My money is on the seat post, because after I cleaned it, it stopped for a couple of km's and then went crazy again.
